Types your text into any app, one keystroke at a time.
DripWriter is a free macOS app and terminal command made by Virat Kaukuntla. Paste some text and it types it into any app, key by key, exactly as written, keeping every space, tab and blank line. It can keep typing into one app in the background while you use another, and finish by a set time with breaks along the way.
What it does
- Types into any app: Docs, Notes, Slack, Discord, VS Code, browsers and terminals
- Background typing into a chosen app while you watch a video or switch Spaces
- Mash mode: press any keys and your text comes out instead
- Start at a set time, finish by a set time, and up to three breaks
- Five typing rhythms, realistic typos that fix themselves, and a floating progress panel
